Jiangshi

The jiangshi 殭屍, is a chinese vampire. They suck the life force from the living to empower themselves and are generally troublesome creatures. They hop around due to rigormortis as their limbs are too stiff for them to use their joints. The jiangshi are reanimated for many different reasons, including pregnant black cats passing over the coffin, improper burials, being buried too far from home, or a bolt of lightning.
My jiangshi had his shins nailed together, he might be a repeat offender.
